From the NHK Archives: Hikaru Stats!

 Born in 1972, from Kanagawa Prefecture. She grew up in the United States, and she is also attracting attention as an idol for returnee children. In 1988, she was appointed as a campaign girl for Japan Air System and made her first appearance in a commercial. She played the main character in the musical ``The Little Princess'' and made her debut in the entertainment industry in earnest. She also started her career as a singer at the same time. As a singer, she had a hit with ``Tokimeite,'' and she also participated in ``NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen.'' She also performed well in dramas such as the taiga drama ``Hojo Tokimune.'' After her marriage, she also lived in the United States. She is also active as a vegetable sommelier.

All The Pretty Guardians!

 Since we've been talking about Hikaru, Hiroko Moriguchi and Fuyumi Sakamoto doin' the Sailor Senshi thing on the 1993 Kohaku, I think it's a great time to revisit that classic performance!!!

Interestingly enough, on Hiroko Moriguchi's own blog, she posted a FUN photo of a recent re-enactment by Hiroko, Hikaru and Fuyumi Sakamoto!
